In a free country we should have the right to love who we choose, do with our own bodies as we choose, and believe as we choose. The only exception is when we restrict or deny another person their individual freedoms And in a country that calls itself “the land of the free”, to pass laws controlling who a person can marry, what a person can do with her body, where a person may live, is against everything this country stands for and is an affront to all the men and women who have fought and died for this so-called freedom.
Does Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness only apply to a segment of the population? And who decided that group should be dominated by white conservative men? Let’s not be hypocrites and pretend we don’t see the country being controlled by corporations not by the people. Our politicians are bought and paid for by the lobbyists and corporations whose special interests are behind every law and political campaign. The media no longer has the honored task of reporting truth. They are also owned by big conglomerates who impart information that serves their hidden agendas.
It’s time for us to wake up and see the obvious. Those who run things are self-serving, small thinking, egotists who crave power at the expense of other people and their own conscience. It’s ‘grab all they can while they have the chance.’ And we give them that chance by electing selfish and immature souls with the biggest marketing campaign and most bluster.
I want to see leaders emerge with the greater good of all as their highest principle. It is an eventuality, but at the moment we see the nothing but liars and manipulators in power. Let’s wake up and refuse to believe these fools who claim to be great but show us the lowest of human behavior. Let’s expect from our leadership wisdom, inclusiveness, and, at the very least, tact. Let’s build alliances not more walls. Let’s see ourselves as one world rather than separate countries. Separation is the cruelest lie of all. We are all created from the same unknowable Source on the same planet at the same time. Let’s work together to see what can be achieved when we are fueled by higher intention rather than fear. The old way only brings us closer to destroying each other and our planet. It’s a new age. How about trying something new? Let’s take the high road and see if we can get a better view of our true journey and purpose. See you there, Dear Ones.
